July 12, 2023 – Following the decision in federal court earlier this year and the permanent injunction issued by Judge McCafferty in May, the Commissioner of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), hospitals across the state, and the New Hampshire Hospital Association have agreed to resolve long-standing litigation to ensure that patients in acute psychiatric crisis are able to get the care they need, when and where they need it.
