The NH Division of Fire Standards and Training and EMS has announced a new Trauma Coordinator to join the Division in late September. Angela Shepard, MD received her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and is currently working toward her Masters in Public Health and Residency in Preventive Medicine from the University of Massachusetts. Prior to her residency at UMass, Dr. Shepard completed a year of the emergency medicine residency program at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware (a Level I trauma center), and while in medical school she volunteered at the world-renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Prior to medical school she was an EMT in Littleton, NH and worked in the ED at Littleton Regional Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Plymouth State University. Dr. Shepard is a member of the American College of Preventive Medicine and the National Rural Health Association.
