ABOUT THIS EVENT
Founded in 1838, New Hampshire Hospital was amongst the first twenty mental health institutions in the country and continues to serve as New Hampshire’s sole state psychiatric hospital. In 1988, a collaboration between the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and New Hampshire’s Department of Health & Human Services was established to help provide care to people experiencing acute mental illness. The collaboration continues with Dartmouth-Hitchcock assuming the responsibility since 2016.
