Job Description: Description: Responsibilities include overseeing
activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance and
adherence to the privacy and access to patient health information. Will
provide oversight and direction to the coding, transcription, and chart
completion in compliance with federal and state laws. Will prepare and
analyze data to demonstrate performance goals and maintain a dynamic and
effective quality control system.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Health Information
Management required.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA and RHIA certification preferred. RHIT
may be considered. Leadership skills with 5 yrs supervisory experience also
preferred.
Inpatient and Day Surgery Coders

committed Welcome to Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN) online.
Located in the scenic western mountains of Maine, FCHN is a locally
controlled, nonprofit, integrated network of rural health-care providers,
created by Franklin Memorial Hospital in 1991.
Status: Per Diem Shift: First Shift (Day) but can be flexible.
Variable Schedule as Needed Per Diem position will fill in for vacations,
illness, etc on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include assigning
diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and same day surgery charts;
clerical duties; and other duties as assigned.
Experience coding Inpatient and/or Same Day Surgery charts necessary. CCS
certification required.

Introduction
Mid Coast Hospital's Health Information Management Department has a full
time opportunity for a Manager of HIM and Patient Registration. This
state-of-art 74 bed hospital is located on the beautiful coast of Maine.
Job Description: This position is responsible for the planning,
organizing, directing, and staffing of the Health Information Management,
Patient Registration, and Communications Departments which include medical
transcription, coding and abstracting, record processing, release of
information, patient registration and the switchboard. The Manager supports
the overall strategic direction and initiatives for Mid Coast Health
Services and plays an integral role in the revenue cycle management program.
Required Qualifications: RHIT, RHIA 3 to 5 years management
experience
