Inpatient
Market Share and Patient
Origin reports show the number and percent of discharges
and days by Town by Hospital (Market Share) and by Hospital
by Town (Patient Origin) *
Selected Inpatient reports show the number of discharges
at each hospital and percentage of discharges by category.
There are five reports included: *
- Admit Source (patient's source of admission to the
hospital: Physician referral, HMO referral, Transfer
from Hospital...)
- Admit Type (patient's reason for admission:
Emergency, Urgent, Elective, Newborn)
- Disposition (where patient was discharged to:
Home-Self Care, Transfer to Another Facility...)
- Payer (patient's primary payment method: Medicare,
Medicaid, Self Pay, Commercial Insurance...)
- Race (patient's race)
Ambulatory Care
Ambulatory Surgery
Standard Reports show numbers of procedures or
encounters depending upon the report. There are five
reports included in this set: *
- Market Share report (by the Number of Procedures)
- Patient Origin report (by the Number of Procedures)
- Number of Procedures by Hospital, by Procedure Code
- Ambulatory Surgery and Inpatient comparison by
Number of Encounters, by DRG (Diagnosis Related Group)
- Ambulatory Surgery and Inpatient comparison by
Hospital, by the top 50 DRGs for each Hospital
Selected Ambulatory Care
reports show the number of encounters at each hospital
and percentage of discharges by category. There are
three reports included: *
- Disposition (where patient was discharged to: Home-Sefl
Care, Transfer to Another Facility...)
- Payer (patient's primary payment method: Medicare,
Medicaid, Self Pay, Commercial Insurance...)
- Record Type
(Ambulatory Surgery, ED, Observation or Other)
Specialty Hospitals
Selected Specialty Hospital
reports show the number of discharges at each specialty hospital
and percentage of discharges by category. There are
four reports included: *
- Disposition (where patient was discharged to:
Home-Self Care, Transfer to Another Facility...)
- Payer (patient's primary payment method: Medicare,
Medicaid, Self Pay, Commercial Insurance...)
- Race (patient's race)
- Referral Source (how the patient was referred to the
hospital: Self, Physician Referral, Friends/Family...)
The Trending Report:
Statewide Utilization statistics and Financial data
for all 26 acute care hospitals in New Hampshire. The
Trending Report is updated quarterly.
