HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES

(Concord, NH) The members of the New Hampshire Hospital Association recently elected officers and new trustees for its Board of Trustees.

Alvin Felgar, President/CEO of Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Rochester, was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Thomas Wilhelmsen, Jr., President of Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, was elected Vice Chairman.

David Pearson, Ph.D., Professor at the University of New Hampshire, was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the Association.

The following individuals were elected as new members of the Board of Trustees:

* Douglas Dean, Jr., President & CEO of Elliot Hospital, Manchester;
* Gerard V. Smith, MD, Chairman-Elect for Concord Hospital's Board of Trustees.

The New Hampshire Hospital Association, a not-for-profit affiliate of the American Hospital Association, services as a state and federal advocate for hospitals, provides education and information to its members and informs the public about healthcare issues.
